Tyler Zander's Homecoming

Today was a beautiful day. We shared many tears together in celebration that our hero, Tyler Zander, could finally come home.

Inspirational words from Coach Cody Spurlock on Facebook tonight:

"On August 4th, one of our Longhorns, Tyler Zander, was injured in an accident. Today, 10 weeks after the accident, our Longhorn returned home. His strength and determination have inspired so many of us. Our prayers have brought us closer together. I am honored to call Tyler my friend and am definitely proud to be Chisholm Longhorn. Welcome home Tyler, I love you."

Words from Tyler Zander, himself:

"My homecoming was more than I could ever have imagined. Today was the best I have ever felt, and I thank all of you that were a part of that. When everyone cheered as I worked my way out of my car and into my wheelchair I felt as if I had finally won part of my battle."
